The boy. He is three.
We celebrated with delicious Indian food
a great new toy
Of course, no matter how great the toy is the best part is always the box
and finished up with picnic with both sets of grandparents by the lake. Once again, we live in a pretty place
’cause ours was freaking great!
There was pie
and appreciating that we live in a really pretty place
with a very silly boy
and awesome ice cream choices
Vaguely patriotic craft of the day: red, white and blue pinwheels.
I bought some prismatic paper but it was way too heavy to hold the pinwheels. It didn’t spin, it flopped. The only other thing I had on had was this origami paper from the totally awesome Japanese dollar store. They turned out pretty if not glaringly nationalistic.
We didn’t spend a lot of time with them, however, since the Berkeley marina wind is too much for even some kites.
Oh, the pretty, pretty kites. There were octopuses (according to wikipedia that is the correct plural form of octopus, HUSBAND!).
and crabs (both boy and crustacean form)
and running with Dada under the floating jellyfish wind socks
